YesPotato respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid copyright notices.
What we host
Nothing. YesPotato stores no user media. When you paste a link, the file is fetched from Instagram's own servers and streamed to your browser in real time; no copy is retained afterwards. There is no library, no gallery and no archive on our infrastructure.
Because of that, a takedown request aimed at a specific file usually needs to go to Instagram/Meta, who actually host it. Removing it there removes it everywhere, including from any link pasted here.
What we can do
If you believe our service is being used to infringe your rights, we can and will block specific content identifiers, profiles or link patterns from being processed. Send a notice and we will act on it.
Filing a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Notice and include all of the following:
- Your full legal name and contact details (email, and postal address if available).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact Instagram URL(s) or content identifiers concerned.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices cannot be processed. We aim to respond to valid notices within 5 business days.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was blocked in error, send a counter-notice to the same address including your contact details, identification of the blocked material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
Repeat infringement
We block addresses and usage patterns associated with repeated infringement.
A note to creators
We built this for people saving things for themselves — a reel to rewatch offline, a carousel to reference later, a friend's story before it expires. We say plainly, on every page, that the copyright stays with the creator and that reposting without permission is not acceptable. If our tool is causing you a specific problem, tell us and we will work with you.
